ABS

When designing for ABS, always account for thermal shrinkage: allow for slightly oversized features on long walls or large flat surfaces to prevent warping. Use fillets at corners to reduce stress concentrations, and avoid tall, thin unsupported structures unless properly braced. Align critical load paths with the layer direction for maximum strength, and consider ribbing or gussets to reinforce functional parts. ABS is ideal for durable enclosures, mechanical components, and functional prototypes, but parts must be designed to accommodate its slight post-print deformation during cooling.
