REVERSE ENGINEERING

Don't have a 3D model? We'll make one.

Gramm GmbH reverse engineers discontinued, worn and undocumented plastic parts and manufactures functional replacements in engineering thermoplastics. Send the original part: its geometry, features and functional surfaces are assessed, an FDM-ready CAD model is reconstructed to reflect the functional intent, and replacement parts are produced under ISO 9001 certified quality management. Reverse engineering reproduces the function of the part rather than guaranteeing an identical copy, so the intended fit and load should be described with the enquiry.

Reverse engineering
HOW IT WORKS

From physical part to digital model to production

We follow a clear three step process so you know what happens to your part at each stage.

You send us your original part

You send the original physical part to Gramm so our team can assess geometry, features, and functional surfaces.

We digitize and reconstruct the part

We capture the geometry of your part and reconstruct an FDM-ready CAD model that reflects the functional intent.

We produce functional FDM copies

We produce functional FDM copies of the part so you can put them back into service in your equipment or assemblies.

COMMON USE CASES

When reverse engineering makes sense

Discontinued Parts

Discontinued Parts

The original manufacturer no longer makes the part, and no digital file ever existed or it's been lost.

Worn or Broken Parts

Worn or Broken Parts

You need a replacement for a part that has failed, worn down, or been damaged beyond use.

Legacy Equipment

Legacy Equipment

Older machinery or products where the original CAD data was never digital or is no longer accessible.
