TPU 65
A high-hardness Shore 65D thermoplastic polyurethane used for durable FDM parts requiring impact resistance, wear resistance, dimensional stability and controlled energy absorption.

Material Overview
TPU 65 refers here to a Shore 65D thermoplastic polyurethane. It is one of the harder TPU classes and bridges the gap between flexible elastomers and rigid engineering thermoplastics. The material provides the toughness, abrasion resistance and energy absorption associated with TPU while offering considerably greater stiffness and dimensional stability than soft Shore A grades. It is suited to mechanically loaded components, wear parts and outdoor applications. Final performance depends on the selected formulation, part geometry, wall thickness, print orientation, operating environment and production parameters.

Material Selection Note
TPU 65 Shore D is suitable where conventional flexible TPU is too soft but a brittle rigid plastic would not provide sufficient impact resistance or energy absorption. It should not be treated as equivalent to TPU 65A.
